The FightBack: Triumph Over Trauma

Boxing has the power to turn lives around. This weekend, the sport will once again help those with past traumas to continue overcoming life’s obstacles.

'The FightBack: Triumph Over Trauma’ is an upcoming event supported by BOXRAW that will help empower ten different women to bravely step into the ring and battle back against domestic abuse.

On Saturday, March 30th, the legendary Allstars Boxing Gym in West London will host this groundbreaking event aimed at triumphing over trauma through the power of boxing.

This event promises to be an electrifying journey of empowerment and transformation.

Led by former GB boxer, national champion and European Gold medallist, Lesley Sackey, ‘The FightBack’ will feature ten courageous women, most of whom have experienced domestic abuse, stepping into the ring for the first time.

'The FightBack: Triumph Over Trauma' will empower 10 women to get into the ring.

Inspired by her own journey of overcoming abuse, Lesley initially envisioned a program that would empower women to find their voice, confront their trauma and emerge victorious after a gruelling 12-week boxing program.

"This event is about more than just boxing; it's about providing women with a platform to heal, grow, and thrive," said Lesley Sackey ahead of the event.

"Through intensive training, support and coaching, we aim to empower these women to triumph over their challenges and pave the way for a brighter future."

‘The FightBack: Triumph Over Trauma’ is not only an opportunity for personal empowerment but also a fundraising initiative aimed at supporting women affected by abuse and empowering young women through boxing.

This BOXRAW supported event is a huge benefit to women with past traumas.

All proceeds from the event will go towards funding future training programs, ensuring that more women have the opportunity to train and box.

The unforgettable BOXRAW supported event will take place on March 30th, showcasing the strength, resilience and determination of women who refuse to be defined by their past.
