Eubank Jr vs Benn 2 Fight Preview

In a dramatic first showdown, Eubank Jr prevailed clearly by unanimous decision over 12 rounds but was made to work hard by the naturally smaller Benn.

The victor appeared somewhat weight drained during the clash, but showed the same heart his father was notoriously known for, digging deep inside himself in the final stretch for victory.

Benn admitted he will use a more conservative approach this time around, having been focused on using his speed and ferocity early in the first meeting and ultimately falling short.

The weight limit and restrictions are the same for the rematch as they were in April, with both men required to make the middleweight division limit of 160 pounds.

There is a rehydration clause again, too - neither fighter can put on more than 10 pounds between Friday's official weigh-in and Saturday morning of fight day.

That weight clause could prove to be a decisive factor in the rematch, with Eubank Jr being the naturally much bigger fighter.

This, added to the efforts he had to go to at this later stage of his career, may hinder his performance in another potentially exhausting encounter.

Meanwhile, Benn has now had more time to adjust to his higher weight and enjoyed another full training camp under these conditions, as he attempts to avenge that initial loss.

In what is set to be another spectacle in London, both men have family pride and honour on the line, rather than any major titles, as they prepare to lock horns once more.
