BAD BLOOD OF THE GIANTS: WHYTE VS. BROWNE

A fight which has taken some time to get over the line but is finally here and a good start for both men to be featured. That fight is Dillian Whyte and Lucas Browne, who have shared some spectacular moments over social media and in interviews which has built an immense measure of hype. The Australian will travel over to London, England to meet Brixton’s Body Snatcher for the WBC Silver heavyweight title and with that a path to challenge WBC Champion Deontay Wilder.

Dillian Whyte has been chasing fights with top heavyweights including Deontay Wilder but the fight with Lucas Browne was bound to happen in 2018 after their history of words. Lucas Browne faced a drug ban which has reduced his activeness. After fighting Ruslan Chagaev for the WBA (Regular) heavyweight title, he has been trying to get back into title contention since.

Dillian Whyte

In Whyte’s last performance, he seemed to very easily outpoint Helenius although struggled in the first few rounds when pressure was put on him. Since the knockout defeat to Anthony Joshua, Whyte went on to win the British title, had an epic fight of the year contender with Dereck Chisora and with that stormed into the world rankings. Now with Lucas Browne, he faces his toughest test since Joshua and no doubt the heavyweight champions will be tuning in to see how this one plays out.

As heavyweights, they both bring power to the fight and fans will be looking for a knockout result. The bad blood between the two also plays out into a very violent fight indeed. Likely to be a slugfest, this fight is one not eyed by the purists but a way to introduce a wider audience to boxing. Expect multiple knockdowns, fighting on the inside and overall a fight that provides action until the end.
