Eubank Jr. a natural middleweight moved up to challenge for the IBO title last year and has defended it twice in some of his best performances yet as a professional. Since losing to Billy Joe Saunders in 2014, some of the British public and George Groves himself believe Jr. has never faced anyone at this level.

Groves had a rocky start to win a world title, first losing to Carl Froch twice and then to Badou Jack, he began a road to recovery with Shane McGuigan and has had a six-fight winning streak with only two of them going the distance. In his fourth world title attempt at Bramall Lane, he showed a level above Fedor Chudinov and claimed his gold with old rival Froch even applauding.
Their path on the WBSS led them to meet each other in what could be a fight of the year contender. Two prime athletes who can trade and move, who’s chin will switch off first?
